We are committed to delivering the services our beneficiaries want and need. Our wellbeing activities are shaped by their input, empowering them to express their interests and even lead sessions (or parts of them,) themselves. This approach enhances confidence and enriches the overall experience for everyone involved, fostering peer-to-peer learning and stronger bonds within the community.

Sessions normally take place on Wednesday- Fridays. To attend or refer clients please email janis@heartsandhelpers.org. We expect spaces to fill up quickly. Please email or call 07377385999 to secure a place minimum of 36 hours in advance.

During summer we provided different workshops aimed at boosting wellbeing. Attendees learnt to meditate outside with nature in guided sessions, reducing anxiety, improving sleep, and cultivating happiness. Our session host Mark has experience of homelessness and was able to use this experience to empathise and connect with people taking part.

Art is an inherently enjoyable experience, which can be a powerful tool too boost wellbeing. It can give you the opportunity to express your inner thoughts, while helping you to better understand and make sense of your emotions and mental health. Groups will explored the allotment taking in textures and shape, enjoying the fresh air and making a record of feelings and observations.

Our sensory garden is a special outdoor space designed to stimulate the senses. It has an array of plants, colours, textures, scents, and sounds to create an engaging and therapeutic experience. It is our most beautiful spaces and has hosted lots of events for our beneficiaries. It is a place that both adults and children can enjoy, promoting relaxation and a strong connection with nature.

Community events help keep our community connected. Run by our amazing volunteers our seasonal events ensure that everyone is included in the festivities, no matter what your income level. Holiday seasons can be particularly hard for families who are struggling to make ends meet. Events like our Christmas drive, get the community working together provide fun and festivities alongside support packages that help them long term. This includes Christmas presents, Christmas dinner, food hampers, visits to Santa and other fun activities.

We have opened up an allotment space to provide relief and respite for the people we support.

Community lunches are a great way to make friends, reduce isolation and provide a much needed hot meal

If you are affected by insecure housing or poverty, why not join us for one of our meditation classes.
