Many of the people we support are at a very vulnerable time in their lives. So as well as providing physical goods and services, it is important to consider their overall wellbeing. Hearts and Helpers has developed, and we now provide opportunities for those struggling with poverty and insecure housing, to boost their mental health and wellbeing.
These services include:
· Community integration- creating spaces for those we support to get more involved within the community (sensory garden, allotment plots, workshop spaces)
· Community lunches
· Workshops- providing workshops tailored to specific needs (Art therapy, meditation, CV skills, stay and play)
· Sign posting to other local services
We have opened up an allotment space to provide relief and respite for the people we support.
Community lunches are a great way to make friends, reduce isolation and provide a much needed hot meal
If you are affected by insecure housing or poverty, why not join us for one of our meditation classes.
